Hey,
I'm Dewey Wright.
Allow me to peel the onion on my life a little bit, see if this sounds familiar.
There were no tragic events or hurdles I had to overcome in order to survive. No traumatic upbringing or life event that crushed me. I was living a pretty mundane existence...a good life, not a GREAT LIFE. Maybe you can relate.
Somewhere deep inside my soul, I just knew there was MORE to all of this. There had to be!
I was feeling a mixture of confusion and HOPELESSNESS, so I started EXPLORING.
.
I read everything I could get my hands on, watched every Ted talk video, and had multiple podcasts on download. I searched all the major religions and philosophies, finding bits and pieces of TRUTH in each one.
The turning point came after my wife saw me sinking into another season of feeling empty and "lost at sea".
She said, basically, "When are you going to stop trying to be "SOMETHING" and JUST BE?"
"Accept the incredible gifts and talents inside of you, and just start being YOU?"
It didn't happen overnight, but that exactly what I did...I just started BEING.
I came to realize this ONE LIFE we live, no matter what shape or form, is a gift. It's a miracle that we are even here.
